Findesemana de Revolucion

La musica ha servido como un excelente medio para mostrar la incoformidad de las personas frente al estado de las cosas, contra lo establecido, contra la sociedad que va de mal en peor, ha servido como un grito de guerra de la juventud, como uno de los pocos medios que antes de enagenarnos y alienarnos mas, nos muestran las “delicias de este capitalismo” (como trae de nombre uno de los cds de la reconocido banda de punk español Puagh!)

Muchos piensan que esto es exclusivo del punk, pero tambien existe la cancion protesta que tuvo tanto auge en los años 70 con silvio rodriguez, ali primera, mercedes sosa, atahualpa yupanqui y muchos mas. Tambien esta el ska (con mas tinte de anti-racismo), el hardcore (con mas tinte de etica y valores, con el antiespescismo y el llamado “veganismo”),el oi, y muchas otras. Es asi como la musica se vuelve politica, o al menos, en contra de la misma. Muchos estan en total desacuerdo con esta posicion, ya que dicen que la musica solo debe transmitir sentimientos y nada de lucha. Pero yo si creo que deba ser asi, y por eso le traigo una de las primeras bandas que supo inyectarle ira en sus virginales venas a los jovenes estadounidenses.

La voz de De La Rocha, especializada en desatar la rabia en estado puro, el guitarrista Tommy Morello que con sus riffs y punteos tambien incita a levantarse y exigir un mundo que es nuestro. Estoy hablando de “Rage Against The Machine”, que con su primer album, fueron llamados “Una version musical de The Anarchist Cookbook” , que contenian una devastadora mezcla del metal, rap e izquierdismo politico. Banda que ha generado gran polemica por sus letras y actuaciones en los escenarios ( En Lollapalooza en 1993 y su protesta contra el “Parents Music Resource Center”, que era como la censura musical o su mitico concierto de Woodstock en en el 99) que luego de cuatro discos afirmando una y otra vez “QUE SE JODAN LAS NORMAS”, se separan. Pero luego de la disolucion de Audioslave, donde estaban dos de sus integrantes, vuelven. Y espero que con mas ira y ansia de revolucion.

Los dejo con su mitico “Killing in the name” de su album debut “Rage Against The Machine” del 92 , que habla sobre la posibilidad de que ciertas partes del senado norteamericano, hiciera parte del grupo neonazi y racista, “Ku Klux Klan” con su frase “Some of those that work forces, Are the same that burn crosses”, creando un crescendo con la constante repeticion de esta frase. Y que tambien transmite un mensaje tan viejo como el propio rock “FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME” (Jodete, no hare lo que me dices)
